Yoga Journey and Kirtan with Live Music from SuryaChandra

Event Date:
Saturday, November 18, 2017

Saturday, November 18th with SuryaChandra from 6 pm-9:30 pm - $20 plus HST

Join SuryaChandra for an enchanting yogic journey that explores the healing power of conscious movement, breath and sacred sound. You will be gently guided to the heart of your inner sanctuary accompanied by mantra chanting, yogic postures, earth-based wisdom and meditation. Stay on after your yoga practice for a blissful and ancient ecstatic hour of call-and-response chanting.  Accompanied by a rich musical soundscape of harp, guitar, dilruba, harmonium, mandola, bass, drums and other beautiful instruments, we will chant Sanskrit mantras, inviting them to penetrate deeply into our hearts. Come and chant. Leave with a greater feeling of ease, joy, and aliveness.

SuryaChandra (the Sun and the Moon) is a spiritual music ensemble that explores the healing power of sound through devotional chants. The members have been leading Kirtan (call-and-response mantra chanting), a beautiful way of connecting with the Universal, for between 15 and 30 years.  They also offer Hatha Yoga and Sound Healing workshops accompanied by live music. The group is based in Nova Scotia and has been touring in various parts of North America and in Asia since 2012. They have had the honour of sharing their practice at Bhaktifest in California, the Montreal Chant Festival and other similar gatherings. To know more about SuryaChandra, please visit: and
