Sheri Rempel

(she/her)

Sheri began practicing yoga in 2003 after discovering that her favorite part of going to the gym was the stretching she did afterwards. Since then, her practice has become an essential part of her life. Spanning the last decade and a half, her practice has evolved from being strictly Ashtanga, to a hybrid of Ashtanga, strength, mobility and alignment practices. She delights in challenging herself in new ways, both physically and mentally, and feels that while a yoga practice is often a time for self reflection as well as physical and mental strengthening, it should also nourish a person’s inner playful child.

Sheri graduated from the Breathing Space 200hr teacher training in 2009 and the Therapeutic Approach 500hr teacher training in 2014. She has since gone on to accumulate over 1000 hours of training with various teachers, such as Chuck Miller, Nancy Gilgoff, Barrie Risman and Kathryn Bruni-Young. Sheri has a passion for teaching powerful flow classes that emphasize strength and mobility, while challenging her students to look beyond their expectations of themselves and what they typically experience in a yoga practice.

Outside of teaching yoga, Sheri is a Speech-Language Pathologist who is currently working in mental health research. She loves science, cats, reading and uninterrupted movement of any kind.
