"Let's Meditate" - A Meditation Workshop

Saturday, January 25 from 1:30-3:30 pm with Robin Thompson - $35 plus HST

An all levels workshop for those interested in exploring meditation. We will look at some of the different meditation styles and techniques with an active sampling of each, and the benefits associated with the practice.

This workshop will cover Meditation of Concentration, through breath focus, japa mantra, and tratika or candle gazing, as well as Mindfulness Meditation; being fully present in the moment with non-attached observation of thoughts. 

Participants will also be lead through a verbally guided meditation, body scan, and offered personalized suggestions for postural alignment and use of props for their meditation practice. Come learn about Meditation as a part of our yoga practice, where it fits into the 8 Limbs of Yoga, and what might resonate with you to establish or continue with as a meditation practise. Mala beads are welcome, but not necessary.  All props provided, or feel free to bring your own if you prefer.
