Kirsten Malloy (She/Her)
Kirsten found her practice as a studio trade in the earliest days of Modo Yoga Halifax. After completing her Modo Yoga 500hr teacher training in 2010, her Jivamukti 300hr teacher training in 2011, and 100hr Yin training in 2013, she embraced a new studio role as teacher coordinator and co-manager. Kirsten further explored her connection to health and movement in her pursuit of her B.Ed in 2015 and M.Ed in physical and health education in 2018. She is currently a junior high school teacher for HRSB, and integrating yoga philosophy into her teachings has enriched her approach in the classroom.
Kirsten’s classes are energetic with a strong focus on building fire within through dynamic and challenging sequences and holds. Rhythm resonates heavily in Kirsten’s approach to creating a cohesive environment where connected breath and movement cultivate tolerance for the discomfort that can arise within our practice.
